Trio de l'Île
Energy, flair, virtuosity. These are the core elements that the Trio de l’Île promises its audience at every performance.
For two years in a row, the Trio de l’Île was nominated for the prestigious Prix Opus: In 2020, for a concert at the Chapelle Historique du Bon Pasteur: Ravel and Shostakovich and in 2021 for their first album: Babadjanian, Chebotaryan, Piazzolla. The recording which was recorded under the Divine Arts Label is distributed internationally by Naxos.
Recently, the Trio de l’Île was invited to perform at the Gala of the prestigious Canada Music Competition. In 2021, their performances took them throughout various halls in Quebec, among them the Bourgie Hall and the Jeunesses Musicales du Canada Hall in Montreal. Furthermore, the Trio is a strong believer in music education. And so, they offer concert-workshops in various musical schools across Montreal.
Founded in 2015, the Trio is composed of three Quebec-based musicians: Patil Harboyan (piano), Uliana Drugova (violin) and Dominique Beauséjour-Ostiguy (cello). Their initial encounter during a music competition, when they were still students, quickly led to a long-time artistic collaboration where they take on the most demanding of all musical challenges and offer passionate performances of the highest caliber.
In 2020, Patil Harboyan started the Cedars Cancer Foundations Healing Notes initiative at the McGill University Health Center. Cedar’s Healing Notes aims to bring the comforting sounds of music into the daily lives of cancer patients as well as the staff at the Cedar’s Cancer Center, and to further humanize the clinical setting. The program also has an educational component; most of the concerts are presented by students in music performance, studying at the Schulich School of music at McGill University as well as other music institutions across Quebec.
Since its foundation in 2020, Healing Notes has offered presented over 150 weekly concerts at the Cedar’s Cancer Center of the MUHC.

Patil Harboyan is a founding member of the Tempo Concerts series at the Jewish General Hospital.
With performances by professional musicians and community organizations, this program aims to enhance the healthcare experience for patients, their caregivers, and clinical staff through music.
Tempo concerts take place on Tuesdays and serve as a focal point in the Léa Polansky Auditorium, located in the heart of the hospital. The atmosphere is designed to be welcoming, warm, and uplifting.
